Serpentine breeders Trevor and Colleen Lindsay are adamant their consignment for the 2026 Australian Pacing Gold Perth Yearling Sale at Magic Millions on March 1 is probably the best they have ever presented.

“We’ve got 11 nice colts and two fillies in the sale,” Trevor said.

The Lindsay’s, long-time supporters of the WA yearling sales, have bred the winners of four APG WA Sales Classics. The Bettor Side and Ideal Beach won the two-year-old series in 2024 and 2025 respectively, while Mighty Ronaldo (2021) and Swingband (2022) took out the three-year-old section.

“We had three colts in last year’s two-year-old Sales Classic and bred/sold five runners in the three-year-old fillies’ race final,” Lindsay stated.

The Pearl and Westbred Classic winner Menemsha, Atlantic Gem (Dainty’s Daughter Classic), Princess Katie (WASBA Mares Classic), Bettor’s Gem (Village Kid Sprint) and Bet The House (WA Champagne Classic) have been other top performers bred by the Lindsay’s.

“The Falcon’s Gem colt is the pick of our draft this year,” Trevor said.

Listed as Lot 363, the colt is a Downbytheseaside half-brother to the triple Group winner Menemsha and to the dam of the four-time Group winner Swingband and Atlantic Gem.

Lot 412, a big, rangy colt by King Of Swing out of the Somebeachsomewhere mare Cooper’s Beach NZ, looks certain to have plenty of admirers. He’s a half-brother to four winners including last season’s outstanding juvenile Ideal Beach and the Western Gateway placegetter Mikis Beach.

Lot 359, one of two American Ideal colts in the Karnup Racing consignment, is an ‘upstanding colt that’s big, strong and straight’, according to Trevor. A half-brother to five winners, the colt is out of the Christian Cullen mare Jacinta Jones NZ and thus is bred on the identical cross as Ideal Tyson, Miss Halfpenny and Saying Grace.

The other American Ideal colt is Lot 339, the first foal of a Bettor’s Delight sister to the Victoria Derby winner and NZ Sires’ Stakes champion Maxim and to the dam of the WA Pacing Cup hero Magnificent Storm.

The Downbytheseaside-Katesplace NZ colt (Lot 328), a half-brother to the Group and Listed winner Bet The House and to the dam of Princess Katie, and a Poster Boy colt from a three-quarter sister to Bet The House (Lot 428) should both attract considerable interest from purchasers.

The Karnup Racing draft includes two superbly bred fillies, one a Downbytheseaside half-sister to the triple Group 1 winner and millionaire pacer Mighty Ronaldo (Lot 433) and the other a Captain Crunch very closely related to the former top WA racemare The Parade (Lot 429).

Completing the lineup is a Pebble Beach half-brother to Princess Katie (Lot 312), a Bettor’s Delight half-brother to the Sales Classic runner-up Delulu and heat winner Jay Elle (Lot 377), an Always B Miki half-brother to the Diamond Classic placegetter Wicked Lover (Lot 430) and a Bettor’s Delight colt from the $80,000 earner Stunin Eyes Only NZ (Lot 381).
